Newest Additions to the PUMP-FLO Family

It has been a long time since the last newsletter was published, and so much has been happening that we at PUMP-FLO Solutions don’t want to forget our most recent additions to the PUMP-FLO family.

The latest pump manufacturers to be added to the PUMP-FLO Solutions Family are: Myers, MDM Inc., Wolf Irrigation, Yamada, Ingersoll-Rand (ARO Division), R.S. Corcoran, Mody Pump, GPM, Liquiflo, Zoeller, Industrial OEM & Specialists, Nagle Pumps, Layne-Vertiline, Gorman Rupp, Franklin Pump Systems, INOXPA, Wilden Pumps, Afton Pumps, AKAY Pumps, Vertiflo, and Lawrence Pumps.

These leading companies have chosen the PUMP-FLO software to streamline their pump selection process for their customers and global networks, in particular the ePUMP-FLO software.

ePUMP-FLO provides a fully hosted, low cost, rapidly implemented online pump sizing, selection and configuration platform for pump manufacturer and distributors’ website. ePUMP-FLO allows customers branded internet pump selection, including complete lead generation and management tools.

"As more businesses are looking to save time and money by doing business on the Web, we are pleased that our ePUMP-FLO Enterprise is the growing solution," said Ray Hardee, Vice President & CEO of Engineered Software. “Engineered Software is committed to helping or customers attain sales automation goals. PUMP-FLO.COM is Multilingual

PUMP-FLO.com, the free pump sizing and selection internet portal, is now available in German, Italian, and Spanish. The website has also hit a milestone, with over 100,000 registered users.

“PUMP-FLO.com is internationally known and used, therefore it was necessary to update the web-based program to include alternate languages for our international customers,” says Ray Hardee, Vice President & CEO of Engineered Software, Inc. “There are over 100,000 registered users on PUMP-FLO.com, which is why we are the global leader in the pump selection process,” he added.

The PUMP-FLO.com website, originally started in 2002, offers information on the pump industry, research articles, and training and software opportunities. The main feature of the website is the downloadable pump catalogs offered to the PUMP-FLO Software users. The website offers free pump selection through the online portal from any of the more than 65 free manufacturer catalogs including thousands of available pump curves.

The PUMP-FLO product line is used by over 85 pump manufacturers, 400 distributors, and over 100,000 pump buyers/specifiers.

Future plans for the website include more user interaction as well as additional links to facilitate the pump industries research needs. Influenced by the Web 2.0 phenomenon, the company is looking into new interactive features that will provide a platform for current users to voice their opinions as well as have technical issues about the PUMP-FLO software answered.

If you are interested in making suggestions for articles to be posted in the Pump Center, or you would like to see a particular manufacturer’s catalog added to our list, please send an email to suggestions@pump-flo.com or use the online form found here.

Focus On: Green Issues & Plant Efficiency

A Quantum Leap in Energy Efficiency for House Heating” - For decades it has been common practice to use circulation pumps in household central heating systems. The advantages are simple: a low noise level, an efficient wet runner motor and a maintenance-free design. Dr. Holger Krasmann, General Manager of the WILO Pump Group in Germany, explains the development of the technology and predicts its dramatic effects on energy consumption. More…

Optimizing Energy Efficiency in Parallel Pump Installations” - Saving energy in systems with parallel pumps is complex. To assist with this task, ABB Oy in Finland has developed intelligent pump control software for its low voltage AC industrial drives. Jukka Tolvanen and Heikki Kervinen present the features of the new software and explain how it can be used to improve the energy efficiency of pumping systems without the need for an external programmable logic controller. More…

Developments in Biofuel Processing Technologies” - Demand for biofuels is surging worldwide, providing new and growing opportunities for manufacturers of pumps and other processing equipment. Bryan Orchard discusses the processes involved in producing biofuels, the special problems encountered and the solutions that have been developed by equipment manufacturers. More…
