Announcing PUMP-FLO Maintenance Release 10.6

You asked for it!

Changes to the Automatic System Resistance Curve Generation Feature on PUMP-FLO Desktop

With the release of PUMP-FLO 10 we introduced a new feature: the ability to quickly and easily generate a System Resistance Curve (SRC) that runs through your design point (without having to go into the System Data dialogue). Based on your feedback, we’ve made some changes to that feature in the latest maintenance release of PUMP-FLO 10.6... FULL ARTICLE

To see how the new feature works, please read the full article about Automatic SRC Generation in PUMP-FLO Desktop in the Engineered Software Knowledge Base.

Ask an Engineer - Brain Teaser

Q. How does a fluid's properties affect a centrifugal pump's performance?

Manufacturers typically test centrifugal pumps with water to develop a pump performance curve that they provide to their customers. But what if a customer is using that pump for a fluid other than water, is the pump curve representative of how the pump will perform in their system? MORE

Listed below are some pump performance characteristics and key fluid properties. At a given flow rate, what do you expect the pump performance to do? READ the FULL ARTICLE.
