Lacey, Washington - July 24, 2008 -
Fluid Fundamentals
Training, a division of Engineered Software, Inc. announces the
immediate availability of the latest addition to its training
catalog. The new course from Fluid Fundamentals Training, titled
Total Pump
Training, is a three-day course covering proper pump
application, selection, operation, troubleshooting, and
maintenance.

Michael Volk, Professional
Engineer and President of Volk & Associates, will provide live
instruction for the courses. Michael Volk, P.E. has over 30 years
of experience in the pump industry and has taught hundreds of
courses worldwide. The course awards continuing educational credits
or professional development hours upon completion. The first of the
fall training courses is set for September 17-19, 2008, in Houston,
Texas.
"The Total Pump Training course has been successful in the past
because it is so comprehensive," said Michael Volk, P.E., Principle
Consultant, and President of Volk & Associates. "We don't just
focus on the basics, we look at how pump decisions and upkeep
effect the entire system. It is practical knowledge useful in the
work environment, and on many occasions the class can be modified
to fit the needs of the individual company."
The class is suitable as a refresher course for engineers,
maintenance technicians, operations supervisors, pump application
engineers, sales people, new graduates, and other individuals that
deal with pumping systems. The course is also offered as an on-site
training course, allowing for content flexibility. A course outline
is available online.
Total Pump Training class attendees are given the latest edition
of the book Pump Characteristics and Applications, written by the
course instructor Michael Volk, P.E. This highly acclaimed book is
now in its second printing and can be purchased separately from the
course at the Fluid Fundamentals Learning Store found on the
website www.fluidfundamentals.com.
"This is the second of many classes we intend to offer through our
Fluid Fundamentals Training outlet, and we believe is of
significant, tangible value to our industry," said Michael Blondin,
Vice President of Marketing and Sales. "We hand-picked our course
offerings because we believe that there had been a gap in the
quality of short courses available for the pump and piping
industry. The selection process was based on not only the content
of each course but the strength of the instruction, and the course
materials offered."
"I partnered with Fluid Fundamentals to ensure that all Total Pump
Training attendees are offered the highest quality of customer
support and services," said Volk. "By shifting the focus of course
delivery to the Fluid Fundamentals team, I am able to commit more
of my energy on making the training course more applicable and
effective."

Total Pump Training three-day classes are priced at $1295 and
