PUMP-FLO Solutions Helps CentriPump Provide Online Pump
Selection
LACEY, Washington- August 2,
2011-PUMP-FLO™ Solutions (An Engineered Software
Business), the leading provider of software solutions to the fluid
handling industry, announced today that CentriPump Inc. - provider of
installation, service and repair of low and high pressure plunger
pumps in the petrochemical industry - selected PUMP-FLO Solutions
selection software after a comprehensive evaluation. Under terms of
the agreement, CentriPump will license the Web-based ePUMP-FLO™
selection software and include pump line catalog on the Engineered
Software website for use in the PIPE-FLO® program. CentriPump
serves the petrochemical, energy production, water and wastewater,
and general industries.
CentriPump chose to implement the ePUMP-FLO software
corporate-wide to streamline the pump selection process for its
customers and network of distributors. CentriPump is a Texas pump
manufacturer that specializes in the reconditioning, installation,
repair and service of plunger pumps throughout the Permian Basin in
Texas. Industrial pump types include ANSI and ISO process
centrifugal, self-priming centrifugal, horizontal multistage,
reciprocating plunger, slurry, and vertical turbines capable of
handling a wide range of fluids including high temperature,
abrasive, corrosive and entrained solids. The Centripump Selection
portal is available online here: www.centripump.epump-flo.com.
"PUMP-FLO's quick, accurate way of selecting pumps is a powerful
sales and tool for a pump manufacturer and adds a significant
amount of convenience for their customers searching through their
catalog. Having pump catalogs available to the PIPE-FLO User-base
is also a big draw for many manufacturers, and it provides a huge
benefit for individuals designing or modifying their piping systems
in PIPE-FLO," said Michael Blondin, Chief Operating Officer at
Engineered Software, Inc.
The PUMP-FLO software allows users to search across a
manufacturers' pump catalog to generate a dynamic pump curve based
on a system design point search. Additional search criteria include
fluid properties, motor sizing, NPSH calculations, pump limits, and
system operating points. Once a dynamic pump curve is generated,
users have the ability to trim impeller diameters, adjust operating
speeds, and dynamically generate electronic curves & data sheet
reports. The PUMP-FLO selection engine is developed by Engineered
Software, Inc. and is fully integrated into the PIPE-FLO
Professional program used to design, simulate, analyze and optimize
fluid piping systems. (www.eng-software.com)
