PUMP-FLO.com Transitional FAQ
As we announced on August 2, 2010, we are transitioning the
PUMP-FLO.com service to the PUMP-FLO Premium and PUMP-FLO Select
pump selection services. The free PUMP-FLO.com portal is no longer
available as it originally was offered as of August 2, 2010.
Instead, we are offering PUMP-FLO Select as our new free service
for users who only need limited functionality, and PUMP-FLO Premium
as our full featured paid subscription service.
Please note that individual pump manufacturers will continue to
host a version of the original ePUMP-FLO service on their websites,
with the original functionality still enabled. You can access this
version by going to the individual pump manufacturer's website and
clicking on their program link.
The following are answers to Frequently Asked Questions about this
transition process.
Is PUMP-FLO.com still free?
PUMP-FLO.com now offers two services. PUMP-FLO Premium which is a
paid subscription service intended for business users, and PUMP-FLO
Select, which is a free limited service.
Why did you change PUMP-FLO.com?
Over the years, many PUMP-FLO users have requested that we add
new features to our software. Those features just didn't fit in our
previously existing web-based pump selector. To meet the needs of
our users we decided to create a new product, PUMP-FLO Premium,
which has many of the features that have been requested over the
years in addition to all the functionality our web-based selection
tool has offered in the past. That product is now available on
PUMP-FLO.com.
As you probably know, software development isn't free! We are
offering PUMP-FLO Premium as a subscription based product so that
we can pay the team that worked hard to create it, and continue to
work hard to support and maintain the product.
What is the difference between PUMP-FLO Premium, PUMP-FLO
Select and PUMP-FLO Desktop?
Apart from the price, our products have significant differences.
We have a feature comparison chart available here.
Is there anything else I can use like the free version you used
to offer?
There just isn't anything out there quite like PUMP-FLO Premium
that's available for free. Our ePUMP-FLO service, paid for and
hosted by our individual pump manufacturers allows users to search
supporting manufacturers' catalogs, and has the same features
offered previously through PUMP-FLO.com. You can access it by
visiting individual manufacturer's websites. ePUMP-FLO is a very
powerful tool and works well for users who only search one
manufacturer's catalog and don't need the additional functionality
provided in Premium. We hope that users who search multiple
catalogs, want the ability to save, share, and collaborate on
selections, add custom notes to pumps, and add their own logo to
printed reports recognize that the Premium subscription price of
$159 a year is an incredible value.
How can I preview the PUMP-FLO Premium service before I
buy?
You can preview PUMP-FLO Premium free by creating an account here. You
will be able to view a sample pump search list or any shared lists
you may have received from Premium subscribers. You won't be able
to search pump catalogs, create or share selection lists, or modify
shared lists without a Premium subscription. If you'd like to know
what features are included in Premium before you create an account,
please visit our product page.
What are my payment options for the PUMP-FLO Premium
subscription service?
We looked carefully at subscription payment options, and chose
PayPal as it allows us to accept more credit card choices and
provides a secure reoccurring payment option. Offering an automated
subscription process allows us to keep our subscription costs low
and pass the savings along to you. If you are unable to get your
subscription working through PayPal, please contact us and
we'd be happy to help.
